 Overview: From Goodreads.com ("Torn." Goodreads. N.p., n.d. Web. 7 Sept. 2014. <http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13494525-torn>.)

Afghanistan. In the heat and dust, young British army medic Elinor Nielson watches an Afghan girl walk into a hail of bullets. But when she runs to help, Ellie finds her gone. Who is she? And what's happened to her? What Ellie discovers makes her question everything she believes in, even her feelings for the American lieutenant who takes her side.
My Opinion:

This book was not what I expected. Elinor Nielson seemed like a teenager at war. Everyone else was war-hardned. Ellie seemed like a breath of fresh air to them i bet. Aroush, the Afghan girl, was the biggest mystery to me. And i still feel like her story is untold. I dont know how to explain how i really felt about this book. The war in Afghanistan is/was a controversial topic after all. Just the predictable romance and main conflict or storyline seemed to take a backseat to the story of Aroush. So read the book, if you ever see it when at a bookstore, but i wouldnt go out of my way to get the book.

*This review might not be the most straightforward or make the most sense, but if you can one day take a chance on this book*
